ThruDark and Call of Duty Endowment: together for veterans

ThruDark en Call of Duty Endowment: samen voor veteranen

At a time when many veterans are struggling to find their place back in civilian society after their service, any support is desperately needed. ThruDark, a brand known for its high-quality and durable outdoor clothing, has understood this well. The British company has partnered with Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping US and UK veterans find meaningful work after their military careers. This partnership is not only a nice recognition of ThruDark’s military heritage, but also an important step in supporting a noble cause.

Call of Duty Endowment, founded by Activision Blizzard, uses the enormous popularity of the Call of Duty game series to raise awareness and funds for veterans. The partnership with ThruDark now gives this mission a new dimension. Together, they will release an exclusive line of in-game content and physical apparel, part of the proceeds of which will go directly to the Call of Duty Endowment.

A unique collaboration

ThruDark, a brand founded by former members of the British Special Forces, has announced that they have partnered with the non-profit organisation Call of Duty Endowment. This organisation is committed to helping US and UK veterans find meaningful work after their service. ThruDark brings its military heritage and field experience to this partnership, resulting in a series of products and in-game content that are both functional and symbolic in nature.

Call of Duty Endowment: Tracer Pack

On 25 October 2024, the global launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the ‘Call of Duty Endowment Endeavour: Tracer Pack’ will be available for purchase. Developed in close collaboration with ThruDark, this in-game content includes the Endowment’s first-ever British operator skin. The skin is inspired by the experiences of ThruDark’s founders during their service in the Royal Marines Commandos and the Special Boat Service. This results in an authentic design that pays tribute to the specialised Maritime Security Operations teams of the 1990s.

The Tracer Pack offers more than just a visual upgrade; it also includes a ThruDark insignia for weapons, stickers and spray items, providing a comprehensive and detailed in-game experience. All net proceeds from the sale of this content will go directly to Call of Duty Endowment, meaning gamers not only improve their gameplay, but also contribute to a good cause.

ThruDark: a tribute to Special Forces

When designing the operator skin, ThruDark’s founders Staz and Louis drew on their years of experience in the military. They chose to use garments from their own ThruDark collection, known for its durability and functionality. From the Stealth Balaclava face cover to the HeriTech Rib Knit Jumper, which is perfect for maritime operations, each piece has been selected to provide the operator in the game with the best equipment.

The garments, such as the HeriTech Sylvan Trousers, are designed to withstand extreme conditions, where functionality goes hand in hand with comfort. This makes the skin not only visually appealing, but also an accurate representation of what it takes in the field to survive and succeed.

ThruDark x Call of Duty Endowment Apparel

In addition to the in-game content, ThruDark will also launch a special clothing line in collaboration with Call of Duty Endowment in October. This collection will consist of t-shirts, hoodies and caps, all designed with the same attention to detail and quality that characterises ThruDark. Part of the proceeds from this clothing line will be donated to Call of Duty Endowment, meaning that every purchase will directly contribute to helping veterans reintegrate into society.

A mission with impact

The collaboration between ThruDark and Call of Duty Endowment is more than just a commercial venture; it is a project with a deeper social impact. By applying their expertise and passion to this cause, both organisations contribute to improving the lives of those who have served their country. As ThruDark founder Anthony Stazicker put it, ‘Working with a giant like Call of Duty Endowment is a real “pinch-me moment” for us here at ThruDark. To not only be recognised for our credibility and experience, but to use this to support veterans as they return to work, is something we are incredibly proud of.’

This collaboration shows how gaming and fashion can be powerful tools to bring about social change. It is a great example of how companies can use their unique skills and platforms to make a positive impact in the world.
