Over 5000 Spartans have already registered for the obstacle course race in Olympiapark on April 18
A real Olympic champion will be at the second running of the
Reebok Spartan Race in Munich on April 18, 2015. Nils Schumann, who won the gold medal in the 800 meters at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, and the last German to win an Olympic gold in a running discipline, will run for title sponsor Reebok. The former world-class track athlete is ambassador for the athletic-products company and will be at the start with more than 5000 other Spartans in the Munich Olympia Park.
More than 400 starters took part in the first Reebok Spartan Race in Germany in mid-April 2014. The second such even on April 18 in Olympiapark Munich offers a SPARTAN SPRINT of more than 6 kilometers and 15 obstacles.
Endurance, strength, agility, speed, dexterity, balance and co-ordination will all be required as the race constructors will once again focus on the natural conditions as they design the course. There will be spectacular obstacles. Participants can look forward to such tried and tested Spartan race obstacles as the „Spear Throw“, „Rope Climb“ or „Barbed Wire Crawl“, which all starters must face.
