007 Elements Experience in Sölden – a different kind of apres-ski

If you are a James Bond fan and love winter sports, you should definitely visit Sölden. Why? Obviously, because this glacier resort in austria offers a long season of amazing snow, but also because a permanent exhibition is being held at the top of the Gaislachkogl – the Bond location of SPECTRE – in Sölden; 007 Elements. At the moment, the exhibition space is still being built, but each Bond fan can take an interactive, audiovisual tour through the connected exhibition spaces to experience all the “elements” of the James Bond movie. The exhibition is a permanent character and was designed by chief architect Johann Obermoser, of Obermoser Architects. The initiative for this 007 project came from Neal Callow, art director of the last four Bond films (Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall and SPECTRE) and Tino Schaedler, Head of Design at Communications Advisory Office Optimist Inc. from Los Angeles. Neal Callow about 007 Elements:

“Our aim with 007 Elements is to tell the narrative of the Bond story in an emotional and engaging way. We want to use this incredible location to place our guests into Bond’s environment, and bring the stories to life in a unique and unforgettable way.”

At 3,050 meters above sea level, an area of about 1,300 square meters, a combination of state-of-the-art technology, tightly aligned, minimalist interior and superior views over the Tyrolean valleys, the exhibition can be reached through a tunnel through the Gaislachkogl. It is located right next to the spectacular luxury IceQ restaurant from SPECTRE. Also designed by Obermoser Architects. The exhibition is a co-production by EON Productions Ltd., Metro Goldwyn Mayer and Cable Car Companies Sölden.
