The multi-purpose Skirmish hardshell jacket from ThruDark | Review

De multi-inzetbare Skirmish hardshell jas van ThruDark

Last summer, I used the ThruDark Skirmish hardshell jacket extensively during my adventures in Wales, Scotland and Switzerland. This jacket is really great! It is super light and folds easily. Best of all, it is fully waterproof, which is perfect for activities like running, cycling and other dynamic endeavours where speed and mobility are important. The jacket is made of a special ripstop fabric that ensures it is durable and does not tear easily. Moreover, it has strategically placed vents to ensure optimal breathability without compromising waterproofing.

ThruDark is a brand that stands out in the world of outdoor clothing by combining tactical functionality and stylish design. The brand was founded by former Special Forces members, who use their expertise and experience to create robust and reliable clothing. The philosophy behind ThruDark is to create products that can withstand the most demanding conditions without compromising on style and comfort.

Comfort & Fit

The ThruDark Skirmish hardshell jacket offers an excellent level of comfort and fit. The material feels soft against the skin and there is enough freedom of movement to perform activities such as hiking, climbing or cycling comfortably. The jacket has elasticated cuffs and hem.

Design

The design of the Skirmish hardshell jacket is tough and functional. The jacket has a slim fit with strategically placed vents for extra air circulation during strenuous activities. The hood is adjustable and can easily be worn over a helmet. In addition, the jacket has several handy zipped pockets for storing small items.

Fabric

The Skirmish hardshell jacket is made of high-quality materials that can withstand harsh conditions. The outer membrane is waterproof and windproof, which is essential during outdoor activities. In addition, the fabric feels sturdy and protects against abrasion from abrasion or sharp objects.

Wind & water tightness

The Skirmish hardshell jacket performs excellently in terms of wind and water resistance. The material is made of high-quality eVent, making the jacket fully waterproof and providing protection from strong winds. During my hikes in the UK and Switzerland, the jacket has kept me dry time and again, even during downpours.

Sustainability

Another important aspect of the Skirmish hardshell jacket is its durability. The material is sturdy and hard-wearing, meaning the jacket can withstand rough conditions and long-term use. After intensive wear, the jacket still shows no signs of wear or damage.

Final thoughts

Although the ThruDark Skirmish hardshell jacket is on the pricey side, you definitely get value for money. The jacket’s quality and performance justify the price. Moreover, ThruDark offers excellent customer service and warranty, so you can invest in this product with confidence.

All in all, I am very satisfied with the ThruDark Skirmish hardshell jacket. It is a robust and reliable jacket that is perfect for outdoor adventures. Whether you’re hiking, climbing or cycling, this jacket offers the comfort, protection and ease of use you need. Although the price tag might be a bit high, you definitely get value for money with this quality hardshell jacket from ThruDark.

In the Netherlands, the ThruDark Skirmish is available exclusively at GearPoint. There are still some LIMITED EDITIONS of the Skirmish available. These have an embroidered logo instead of a printed logo.
