The Nitro SupraTeam is back again. Where in 2008 it was a (currently) latest version on the market, Nitro has reintroduced the board this year. The board is positioned as an aggressive and stiff all-mountain camber board with which you have to be able to go on and off-piste, where it is less freeriding and freestyle oriented. The Flex rating is 8 out of 10, which is rather stiff. The board is available in sizes 156 to 162, so serious men’s sizes.
The information from Nitro itself was a bit different from our impression of this board, so that was interesting.The Review

Looking at the specs you would think that the SupraTeam is a stiff, hard ruthless charger that would be tough going for a woman to ride. And for the lighter ladies who ride with less power, it is not a go-to board. But Dees, with her height and experience, said she still found the board pleasant and flexible, especially between the bindings there is enough flex in the longitudinal direction. That makes it easier to go from edge to edge; initiating turns is quite light. And if you use that turn to carve it hard, the camber profile of the board also helps to keep a good grip and to be able to ride at respectable speeds.
In Dees’ opinion, the SupraTeam is a board that beginning snowboarders would also be able to ride on if they really want to improve their skills.According to Mark (Man, 188cm, 92kg)
The SupraTeam we reviewed, had a length of 159cm; in itself a good length for my height and weight. But with a bit more length the board would have been even better for me.
For me, the board did not feel like an aggressive camber board, which I love. It did have enough stiffness to ride with stability at higher speeds, and also enough flex to easily go from side to side. I didn’t have the feeling I could charge freely on the board; somehow it did not invite you to open up the throttle completely. That said, it is a board that will help you get up to speed with less experience than with many other starter boards. Because it is good at both easily initiating turns, going on to carving and holding the rail at reasonable speeds.Conclusion
The Nitro SupraTeam is a strong but still reasonably flexible board. Not a bad-ass destroyer of pistes or razor-sharp carver, but on piste, you can still carve, do your tricks, head off into the powder and also in the park the SupraTeam will do perfectly well, with enough pop for take-off and stability for landings.Nitro SupraTeam
