GearBite: waterproof hiking this summer with the Haglöfs Explore GT

The Explore GT Surround from Haglöfs is a waterproof shoe that breathes 360 degrees, even though the sole. Under the breathable layer in the sole are large air ducts that transport sweat through the sole to the side of the shoe. This keeps your feet cooler, drier and more comfortable than ever in waterproof shoes.

With Gore-Tex Surround technology, you have 30 per cent more breathable surface than with a normal Gore-Tex membrane. Because of this, you have less warm, sweaty feet and you are still very well protected against rain. The shoe is available in a ladies’ and men’s version.

OrthoLite footbed

The OrthoLite footbed offers comfortable cushioning so that your feet stay fit longer. This footbed is made of lightweight, breathable foam with long service life. The material has excellent moisture management and antibacterial effect and ensures that your feet stay dry and comfortable even during intensive walks.

The EVA midsole offers excellent support, and the bottom sole gives an excellent grip on almost any surface. In short, the Haglöfs Explore is a wonderful hiking shoe for in the woods, along the beach or over hilly terrain.

The Haglöfs Explore GT Surround is among others available at outdoor shops. The men’s shoe is available in the colour Oak/Deep Woods, the women’s shoe in Deep Woods/Slate and costs € 179.95.
