The Fjällräven Keb collection has had a significant update this summer, combining functional, timeless designs with the latest sustainable materials. The new range includes an update to Fjällräven’s accessible Keb collection. This award-winning selection of technical outdoor clothing and equipment has been specially designed for trekking. The two bestsellers – the Keb Jacket and the Keb Trousers – have been re-introduced this season, with an improved fit and functionality.
Since its foundation in 1960, the constant motive behind Fjällräven has been the motto ‘from good to better’. This season this applies to the Keb Jacket. The R&D team has updated the construction of the jacket to make the item even more comfortable and practical. The updated design was based on gathering feedback from team members, professional product testers and based on feedback from thousands of followers on the brand’s social media channels.
The original hybrid construction, which combines durable and adaptable G-1000 Eco (recycled polyester and organic cotton) with a high-quality stretch fabric, is retained. The Keb Jacket and Keb Jacket W thus offer the ultimate balance between protection against the elements and freedom of movement for a demanding journey through hilly terrain. G-1000 is wind and water-resistant and yet breathable, which makes the material extremely suitable for changing weather conditions. Ventilation options on the trunk, body heat escaping with high effort and improved in 2019 with two-sided zippers. These offer an ultimate control when it comes to ventilation: with a lot of wind, there is the option to open the zippers a little bit on all sides, to let the heat escape, but at the same time prevent the jacket from fluttering.
The Keb Jacket has also been updated with an improved fit, including a modified sleeve construction. A reduction of excess material results in a narrower cut around the biceps. The cuff is also adjusted; the use of more stretch fabric offers extra comfort here. And drawstrings on both sides of the waist ensure the perfect fit. The characteristic large breast pockets of the Keb Jacket now contain a small loop, ideal for securely attaching a mobile or GPS. The design of the hood has been updated; the adjustment cords are now on the outside. This facilitates possible repairs and thus extends the overall life of the jacket so that the Keb Jacket will accompany you on many adventures in the coming years.
