gearlimits-gearbite-altijd-in-contact-ook-zonder-mobiel-bereik-net-de-spot-x
The Spot X is a new GPS device that you use to send and receive text messages. With this, you are always in contact, even at locations without mobile coverage. An ideal solution for adventurers who want to communicate at home in the most remote places with those staying at home and, in an emergency, emergency services. With the SOS function on the Spot X you have direct two-way text communication * with search and rescue services. The track function tracks your progress at intervals of 2 ½, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes and shares your location on Google Maps. The built-in compass and waypoints help you with navigation. More than 6200 rescues have been achieved with the Spot devices so far.

User-friendly

The Spot X is very user-friendly. You have a fixed telephone number with which contacts can send you messages from their cell phones. You connect social media accounts easily and quickly to keep everyone informed wherever you are. Up to 14 standard messages can be stored on the Spot X, so you can quickly update your friends and family with your message. The illuminated QWERTY keyboard is usable under any light condition; the large display has background lighting and is perfectly readable. The robust Spot X is resistant to impact, dust and water. The rechargeable lithium battery lasts ten days in the track function with 10 minutes interval.

SOS hotkey

The Spot X offers full two-way text and email communication as well as GPS tracking and a hotkey for SOS. It immediately sends the user’s GPS location to the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) via Globalstar’s reliable satellite network. The IERCC then sends the data to local emergency services to send help to the exact location of the user.
