Brunton Hydrogen Reactor

Op de OutDoor 2013 beurs in Friedrichshafen hebben wij hem al mogen bekijken. De meest veelbelovende technologie als het gaat om energievoorziening, zijn wel de “fuel cells”. Voor 2014 introduceert het Amerikaanse Brunton de ‘Hydrogen Reactor’. Een draagbare energie reactor op basis van brandstof cellen, speciaal ontwikkeld voor outdoor activiteiten. Je hebt geen stopcontact meer nodig om je (functionele) gadgets op te laden. Met name handig tijdens lange tochten in afgelegen gebieden en voor in nood-kits.

Hydrogen Reactor

Samengeperst waterstofgas en de vloeibar waterstof zijn beiden uiterst vluchtig en gevaarlijk. Brunton heeft navulbare patronen ontwikkeld waarbinnen waterstofgas veilig kan worden opgeslagen doordat gebruik wordt gemaakt van metaal poeder (Metal Hydride) om waterstofgas te kunnen opslaan. Verkrijgbaar voorjaar 2014.
