The word epic is thrown about quite a lot in action sports, and normally I am a proponent of using hyperbole a bit sparingly. But this edit is in the quantum sphere of epic. And as a videographer, I was really fascinated by the story behind the making of the edit.
In this cool interview pro rider and filmmaker Joey Schusler tells the story of how they managed with up to 900 feet of cable and 5 days of doing just the cable cam shots. “You can have it going 20 to 30 mph and passing just six inches off the ground or from trees on either side. That’s not something you can do with a drone.”
